OUR MINISTRIES

Usher Ministry

“For a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” -- Psalm 84:10

The Usher Ministry fulfills an essential role in worship. Ushers help first time guests, repeat visitors, and members experience the sacredness and joy during worship as well as function as ministry assistants to the pastoral staff during the worship service.

Mission Ministry

“…I was sick and you visited me…” – Matthew 25:36

The Mission Ministry meets the needs of our members who are disabled, visit the sick and shut-ins, and participate in outreach ministries.

Those who are part of the Mission Ministry are expected to be faithful in the personal study of God’s word and have an active prayer life as well as attend weekly worship services and other spiritual growth opportunities.

Mother’s/Deaconess Ministry

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” -- 1 Corinthians 14:33

“Let all things to be done decently and in order.” -- 1 Corinthians 14:40

The Mothers/Deaconess Ministry goes beyond the communion table. They are chosen by God, and secondly by the pastor of the church. They must be Christ-like at all times and be supportive of the Pastor, church/community, serve as role models, assist in serving the communion and assist with baptism.

Music Ministry

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” -- Colossians 3:16

The Music Ministry leads and renders songs of praise and adoration to God during worship and fellowship assemblies of the church. The music ministry uses music to serve God. Service to God through the music ministry is expressed as service to the church congregation. Encouraging believers, supporting the sermon, praising, and worshipping God and sharing the gospel with nonbelievers through song are all responsibilities of a music ministry.

Youth Ministry

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” -- 1 Corinthians 11:1

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” -- Proverbs 22:6

The goal of the Youth ministry is to teach young people how to covenant together to follow Jesus. We strive to offer opportunities for development in moving closer to the image of God through Bible study, fellowship, and other group activities. Our goal is to give youth opportunities that will help them to become responsible, compassionate servants of Christ who are able to share the love of Christ and their personal experiences with others.

Christian Education Ministry

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17

This ministry is the foundation for lifelong learning and growth toward a mature and vital faith. The Christian Education Ministry is comprehensive, far reaching, and ministers to all age groups. This ministry offers opportunities for spiritual growth through Sunday School, Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, and other learning opportunities.

Trustee Ministry

“But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.” -- 1 Corinthians 12:18

The Trustee Ministry manages the material possessions and oversees the financial matters of operating the church with spiritual sensitivity. The church's physical property, financial obligations and all other assets are the responsibility of the Trustee Ministry. The stewardship of trustees provides direction and leadership to help further God’s word.

Pastor’s Aid Ministry

“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the LORD and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.” --- 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

The Pastor’s Aid Ministry provides prayer, encouragement, and expressions of appreciation for the Pastor and his family as he carries out the vision of the church as given to him by God. This ministry offers all-around support to the pastor and takes the lead role in planning ways and means to assist the Pastor in any manner conducive to his well-being and ministry
